I just wanted to let everyone know that today is our full 1st day back after a 2 week break. We school year round and took 2 weeks off to get things done and caught up, go to home school camp and now we are back to the books.
Please say a prayer for our day, our family and our books. Thanks and I will do the same for everyone else as they begin there schooling soon, or have already. Misty

Will be praying, Misty! This is our first day back too--since late MAY! I rarely take such a long break, but Scout camps, church camps and other things made it necessary this year. On top of starting our own school, tomorrow morning I start teaching a scripture-study class to our church's high school age students--at 6 a.m. every morning! I'm going to need LOTS of prayers for that one!
Praying for a wonderful week for you! We started at the first of August, but took the first couple of weeks a little easy since we had taken a long summer break (which I probably will not do again). I'm hoping this week to really start settling into a routine.

Prayers and good wishes to you for a successful school year. We too have had a longer break than normal due to ill health and start in a weeks time - so good luck and prayers for everyone embarking on another year of adventure and learning.

Good wishes to everyone! We took a short break this month and we will start our school year next week. Even though we're not in the school system, I still see Labor Day as the start of a new year. I love this time of year.
We started our school year today as well. We haven't had school since May sometime. I like to take the whole summer off for camps, and rejuvenation and basic lazying around. Today went smoothly, being our first day following a Charlotte Mason style. Dd really enjoyed the shorter lessons and being able to cross of her accomplishments as we went along. I'm really happy to be done with school after lunchtime. Hoping the rest of our days are as smooth.

So happy to hear others are starting again and I have you all in my prayers. Our 1st day went ok. Our studies went well, and everyone seemed happy. But my 18 mo old was a lot of trouble. So we're going to re-do our time so that someone is playing with her except a few times where she'll be doing blanket time. Or we may never finish by noon.

Wonderful Misty! I hope all of you have a wonderful term!!!!! We ended our year at the end of July; so we will be starting Sept. 7th.
This week is crazy. Cramming for school plans and preparing to go to Seattle with my sweetie. We are taking a third honeymoon. Haven't been away overnight from the kids in 5 yrs. Really excited. Please pray we have safe travels and that the children are cared for well. We leave on Thursday. Thank you all.
I am a little stressed. We changed Math curriculums at the last minute and are doing MEP with all three of my girls. A bit overwhelming, but I'm excited. We're doing a huge History program this year and some other different things. Hopefully, I haven't bitten off more than I can chew:) Only time will tell.
