Has anyone used Mara Pratt's American History Stories as a spine for American History? If so, could you give me some ideas of what you added to it and how you used it?
Thank you!

We have used and enjoyed it for 1st - 3rd grades. We liked it much better that This Country of Ours. We simply read, narrate and sometimes do a notebooking page - that's it.
Lately, we've simply listened to it on audio by Jim Hodges.
We are using books 1 and 2 for 3rd grade this year. We've enjoyed it, in fact, I recently asked DD about changing to something else for next year but she wants to continue with them. Like Missceegee, we read, narrate and do some notebooking pages. We also add in other historical readers from SCM's booklist and others.
We used all four this year and now are going through all the Little House books. I have the mp3 cd as well and it was a nice study. They are ideal for narration. :)
