As far as I can tell, <em>First Steps</em> is way too basic for my ds6. I think I'm going to purchase the other two books, since they look a little more challenging.&nbsp;</p> <p>I was wondering if you all could give me some other suggestions for beginner reading books that will help build my son's vocabulary, as well as his endurance to read longer passages. The only things I can find in bookstores are twaddle.</p> <p>He can read Dr. Seuss books like <em>Green Eggs and Ham</em>, <em>Hop on Pop</em>, and <em>The Cat in the Hat</em> really well. His grandmother gave him all the <em>Biscuit</em> books for Christmas, and he has enjoyed those (although I feel they are a bit twaddle-ish).</p> <p>To clarify, I am looking for books he can read on his own, not books for me to read to him.</p> <p>Thanks!</p> <p>Lindsey</p>
