We really enjoyed them. What is so great about them is it is all fact except for the main characters. We read the Mayflower one and found out that most of the characters were real people who traveled on the Mayflower! They also have a Christian faith base. We read 2 of them together and I found no questionable material. It does have an extensive vocabulary that may be challenging--even for my 8yo. I highly recommend them! I have only skimmed them, though. If your dd is a sensitive reader, you may want to do the same. I try to preread things I'm unfamiliar with, but I can't always keep up! She has a couple of the others, but she hasn't read those yet. She is eager to lend one to another friend. Somehow those books came up between the two of them in conversation and she asked if she could let her friend borrow one of them. So I guess that's an endorsement of sorts.
