That looks great! I'd love to see reviews of them added to the bookfinder as people make use of them in their homes!

This list was shared with me by a friend. It has historical fiction arranged by civilization/country and age of child. I haven't had a chance to do more than glance at the home page, but I thought I'd share it here b/c everyone needs more books to look through. Right?

My DD8 and I read them together this year for our American History Lit. We really enjoyed them. What is so great about them is it is all fact except for the main characters. We read the Mayflower one and found out that most of the characters were real people who traveled on the Mayflower! They also have a Christian faith base. We read 2 of them together and I found no questionable material. It does have an extensive vocabulary that may be challenging--even for my 8yo. I highly recommend them! My daughter really liked them, and it was fun to read them together and remember the historical people we had already learned about.
Faith :)

My daughter has read three of them (I think) and enjoyed them (She is 7.5 :) ). I have only skimmed them, though. If your dd is a sensitive reader, you may want to do the same. I try to preread things I'm unfamiliar with, but I can't always keep up! She has a couple of the others, but she hasn't read those yet. She is eager to lend one to another friend. Somehow those books came up between the two of them in conversation and she asked if she could let her friend borrow one of them. So I guess that's an endorsement of sorts. LOL
